Jura

Jura is not just paragraphs, sentences and laws. Jura is about understanding and applying the rules in practice. In law school, you will be trained to be analytical and semi-legal issues into a social context.

Jura is a classic subjects that specifically trains you to become a lawyer or a lawyer. You will receive thorough training in how laws are passed, administered and interpreted in the courtroom. Jura is in many ways a profession that requires you to read the syllabus thoroughly and familiarize yourself with all clauses and legal codes - it may sound a little dry, but once you've gotten a taste, so does the workload not so heavy. The course is also really exciting when the focus comes on international law and justice as well as the subjects you are free to opt for the end of the bachelor program.

It is not only rumors that the studio requires a lot of its students. You will be expected to provide a substantial amount of work, if you want to study law. Emphasis is placed on identifying and learning of norms content (legal dogma). You learn the rules that exist, how rules interact and how the rules are used. It is called "legal methodology" and is a tool that puts a jurist able to analyze legal problems and interpret and understand legal matters in general.

On bachelor's not much opportunity for electives. Here you gain a solid overview of the legal system and a methodological insight. If you choose to continue the Master's program you can look forward towards a large degree of freedom to choose their subjects.

It is normal for law students to take study abroad. Law school has agreements with over 50 universities in Europe and the Nordic countries as well as with various universities in the United States, Australia, China, Japan and Singapore. It is also possible to get an internship at the embassies of example. UN or EU institutions. These stays can replace individual modules in the program.

The course consists of classroom lessons and lectures. Initially, the division between the two types of teaching equitable, but 2-3 years takes over the lectures more of teaching. It's a good idea to form a study group for the sake of homework.


Job Opportunities

Lawyer Assistant. Most students at Jura choose to supplement with a master's degree to become a lawyer, jurist or independent paralegal.
