Film line is the teaching of film analysis and camera techniques. You learn to become familiar with the production of films and therefore included some exercises with the camera. You also get training in scriptwriting, film history, cutting theory instruction of actors, concept development, and by criticism of productions. If you are thinking about studying media studies or film at university, then Film Line is a perfect springboard. The curriculum is as follows:
Week 1 Introduction to the school and school work.
Week 2 Film Analysis: The film's narrative technique. Common. Introduction to Camera + camera exercises with common after criticism.
Week 3 The film's narrative technique - on. Introduction to editing program Final Cut Pro. Camera and rock drills (mounting) + common for criticism.
Week 4 Visit to the Danish Video Workshop in Odense Screenplay Writing: theory, exercises and after criticism Dialogues written.
Week 5 Dialogue Scenes - examples from film history. Recordings: Treskuds technique. The written dialogues recorded and edited. Weekend: Cuts Thomas Winkel Ravn, DR Cutting theory with examples. After criticism on exercises. + Possible. practical work.
Week 6 Lysøvelser Instruction of film actor. Theory: production planning - including post distribution and deadlines. Production Exercise 1. From concept development to finished short film. NB. Weekend work with recordings and continuous tape recording.
Week 7 Production Exercise 1: Editing. Shared by criticism.
Week 8 Video Marathon. 24-hour exercise Story boarding by Lene Kersting Screenplay Writing Production of advertising to the school's website.
Week 9 Screenplay Writing Production of advertising to the school's website.
Week 10 Study trip to Barcelona.
Week 11 Short Films. Production of short films: Idea, synopsis and treatment.
Week 12 Production of short films: Production Planning, Screenplay Story boarding by Lene Kersting.
Week 13 Production of short films, recordings in studio or on location. Cooperation with actors from drama line. Guest teacher: Director Alexandre Archimbaud: How to get started with his first production.
Week 14 Production of short films, recordings in studio or on location. Cooperation with actors from drama line.
Week 15 Excursion to Copenhagen or Aarhus. Cutting short films. Composition of film music by Kristian la Cour Weekend: Cuts Thomas Winkel Ravn, DR. After criticism of the first through the clip + work shop.
Week 16 Cutting short films.
Week 17 Efterkritik Premiere - public showing.
Week 18-21 Screenplay Writing or TV production. Cooperation with journalist line and Anne-Birthe Jarnum Guest Teachers: Anchor Clement Kjærsgaard Director etc. Jørgen Leth Director Søren Kragh Jacobsen Photographer: Mosen Safarkhanlou Anchor: Anna Louise Thranæs Didriksen price and accommodation: The stay at Askov costs kr. 1.100, - pr. week.
