For example. studying the economic trend society from wages and private consumption, you can also use statistics to find the appropriate dosage of a commodity product in a production or use statistical methods to improve IT systems - the possibilities are many, and the studio is not so dry as many would expect from the name.
But this assumes of course that you like to work with mathematics and partially IT as large computations require intensive use of computers and IT programs.
As a graduate student in statistics, you help to find the bridge between abstract mathematics and its practical application. Statistics are an extremely valuable tool to reduce uncertainty by example. an economic project or a treatment where the experiences are few, but the data is available.
However, the statistics only useful if used correctly. Therefore, you learn at the graduate level on the theoretical considerations that underlie various statistical problems, so you learn to use the correct theory in the right situation.
You improve simultaneously your skills in probability and appropriate handling of the empirical evidence. There is great freedom of choice over the two years training takes so you have the opportunity to shop around among the mathematical, statistical and practical subjects as the study provider.
You thereby create your own unique professional profile and program concludes with a thesis where you go in the flesh on a scientific subject at a high theoretical level.
