Rotaract Odense


Rotaract is Rotary's organization for young people aged 18 to 30 years. Their mission is to develop dynamic, young people working to make a difference in our society - in a spirit of progress, optimism and fun. A Rotaract club is started by one or more Rotary clubs, known as godfather clubs, Rotaract is a nonprofit organization that works to provide young people aged 18-29 years the opportunity to promote the skills that will contribute to personal development. Rotaract is independent of party political, religious and economic interests. To become a member of a Rotaract club, you must live, work or study sponsor clubs area. Rotaract clubs are divided into districts that coincide with sponsor clubs. In Denmark, there are 5 districts and 20 clubs, each with 10-30 members. Rotaractklubberne meets every other week - typically alternate home and udemøder. At home meetings, the club often visited by a lecturer at udemøderne get club members insight into various businesses and other organizations. It is the club's own members, which organizes the meetings and the topics vary from weekly production of "Contact Center Vesterbro" from the power of advertising for the rehabilitation of torture victims. IllustrationForuden local club events organized major events, projects, collections and conferences at district, countrywide, Europe- and worldwide. Examples are collecting toys and clothes for Father Brennan orphanage in Pattaya, Thailand, European conferences and the planning and implementation of briefing and after briefing for Rotary Danish exchange student. The members of the individual clubs are quite different but representing a wide range of active, Danish youth - evenly on education / work, age and gender. The commonality of rotaractere is dedication, curiosity, helpfulness, openness to others, respect and above all a great interface for large parts of the Danish youth.
