Process Analytical Technology

The MSc in Process Analytical Technology takes 2 years and the English language. The purpose of the program is that you will be able to develop production systems and within for example. the pharmaceutical industry and the food industry. The emphasis is on planning and optimization of existing production processes, but also the development of new ways of production can be carried on for possibly creating synergies.

The training is about preparation processes and improve existing processes in a company. It may in particular how to extract oil or what the optimal relationship between pressure and flow in a pump. It is a very interdisciplinary education where many principles from different areas going again.

You will also be working with the transition from local (small) production to large-scale production (characterized by low unit costs). A significant part of the study is the analysis of data and information, so you can continuously evaluate and improve aspects of the production. The first year is composed of some compulsory courses in, among other process knowledge, production, chemometrics (data analysis) and spectroscopy (measurements). At the end of the first year writing a theme project in collaboration with a company.

In the second year you have the opportunity to choose between the offered electives and possible. studying at a foreign university or take an internship. You prepare your thesis at the end of the second year and can then write MSc. in process analytical technology on your business card.
