Medicine and Technology is an education that draws subjects of health scientific and technical nature. You are not a doctor by taking training, but an engineer specializing in the design and development of medical devices for examination and treatment of patients. Examples of equipment may be computer programs to measure the levels of white blood cells in the body, specially designed robots to assist in the surgery scanners to diagnose rare diseases and more. The program is a joint-venture between KU and DTU, so teaching takes place partly at the Faculty of Medicine and partly on the Technical University of Denmark.
The initial part of the course on the study Medicine and Technology has three focus areas:
- Human Biological Sciences
- The Moving Man
- Methods in Medical Diagnostics
Human Biological Universe is about the human being's biology and the diseases that the body may be exposed. You learn how to with mathematical and technical tools can perform analyzes and measurements. The courses you can follow include physiology, anatomy and medical technology.
With The Moving Man will allow you to explore the human body's anatomy - especially on the muscles and skeleton interaction and how they affect our movements in practice.
Methods in Medical Diagnostics is about the technical systems and methods used for medical studies. You learn to measure and diagnose diseases from the signals as the internal organs are sending. The area is a particular biomedical discipline.
Job Opportunities
You can primarily seek employment in the pharmaceutical industry or in companies developing medical products and equipment.
