At the master's program in Classical Archaeology in Copenhagen will have your regular time on cultural institutions, like the National Museum, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Thorvaldsen's Museum and The Royal Cast Collection. Here you can see for themselves studying Greek culture and get a glimpse of the marvelous period of time, which in many ways is the foundation of Western society and culture today. Your working day will focus on reading and studying sources - often at the library or with your reading group. If you choose later to follow a path as a researcher is the door open for practical fieldwork in Mediterranean regions and often in partnership with like-minded researchers from foreign universities.

Classical Archaeology is the course for you who would like to explore the Greco-Roman antiquity by examining the relics of that time. It can be anything from coins, pottery, roof tiles or sculptures for tombs or temples.

Since most of the things classical archeology dealing with are in the Mediterranean and spread elsewhere in the world is the subject aimed naturally internationally. This must be able to expect to around the world and visit museums and do excavations.

At Aarhus University's classical archeology a minor subjects and you will therefore know most of your fellow students and teachers. Once a month, there are evening lectures as Classical Archaeology Society (KAF) organizes. Museum of Ancient Art, which has a nice collection of Greek, Roman, Etruscan and Egyptian antiquities art belong to profession and here you can get practical experience with communication and museum work.

At the University of Southern Denmark in Odense you can take a light version of the program where you can choose to study classics . Classical studies in Greek, Latin and Classical Studies focuses on literature, philosophy, religion, history and diverse social studies, but there is also the opportunity to practice archeology, if you wish.
