guitar Line

On the guitar line you will get private lessons on guitar, guitar workshop and playing guitar on an interplay team. In addition there is a wide range of subjects, some shared by all, others are electives. Outside school hours, all of our facilities open so that, for example, can be practiced, played in leisure bands or made studio recordings.

When you start as a guitarist you get lots of opportunities to try your ambitions dreams and ambition of. There are many different subjects that allow you to develop your musical talent both compulsory and elective courses where you can specialize in a particular area. But there are also courses aimed directly against your instrumental skills and focus on how you can grow as a guitarist.

guitar Workshop
Guitar Workshop is the subject where you meet every week with your guitar teacher and all the other guitarists. Here we review all the key aspects of guitar playing: Engineering, scales, chords and building on guitar, rhythm guitar, solo guitar, improvisation, music reading and overview, guitars, amplifiers and equipment. In other words: We are going around all the main topics.

Some of the lessons will go as 'normal' teaching. Others will go to review the exercises as you try with other guitarists. There will be both theory and hours where we sit and play. Workshop is the place where you get the opportunity to meet with your instrument colleagues and exchange experiences, opinions and knowledge, this is where you get to geek out, see guitarvidoer / DVDs and otherwise immerse yourself in your instrument. Workshop Education organized jointly with your teacher and the other guitarists.

Individual lessons
Individual lessons are the place where you meet alone with your teacher. Here you have the opportunity to talk further about the things that are discussed in the workshop, but tailored to your individual level. Or you can work on something else. It may be you will learn how to play a particular solo, working with some different techniques (eg alternate, sweep, legato) become better at understanding and using chords on the guitar.

Or you might want to immerse yourself in jazz standards, from hard guitar or Dream Theater? Individual lessons take course based on your wishes, your ambitions and your skills.

Ensemble Education takes place in real-established bands which will be made up at the beginning of the semester. It is here where you really the opportunity to try the guitar's many options and functions of. Here you will both have to work as part of a rhythm section, which focuses on rhythm, tempo, 'time' and the ability to get music to swing.

But also on the chords, voicings and sound to the guitar sound good and 'musical' in conjunction with the rest of the band. However, you will of course also get the opportunity to develop your skills as a soloist. You will be able to develop your skills and understanding to improvise in the context of a band and become better at playing solos where it is not only the guitar but first and foremost the music is in focus. It is also the ensemble team that you have to go on tour and play concerts.

You must, of course, in the studio and record your band, create CDs, video and posters for the tour, and you have to appear at the school performance workshops. This is a weekly 2-lesson module which will change content during the semester. In the beginning there will be tiered theory / ear training for all, but after about 4 times there will be the possibility to choose between different line-related subjects. It may be, for example;

- SDS (Song, Dance and Play)
- Theory and ear training
- "Open Door", "Free Improvisation", or Intuitive Improvisation
- Improvisation
- Singing Workshop
- Rotation
