French

French is a diverse program where you naturally learn to speak and write French. You come to work both theoretically and practically with the French, and will be able to use it in many different situations eg. job interviews, presentations, negotiation, sales / marketing, as an interpreter and more. Alongside your studies in the language you will get a thorough introduction to French history, social conditions, political situation, cultural and literary tradition and the like. The first 2 1/4 years follow a required course of study with a strong focus on oral and written skills in French, and the last 3/4 years, you can freely choose between electives offered at the University.

France is Western Europe's largest nation and a bastion of art, literature, philosophy and democracy. This leads to France's proud traditions and their beautiful language that is common in many parts of the world.

You must be in French studies not only learn French in speech and writing, but also about the country. This link gives you a good insight into the French language and culture. You will also learn to work with intercultural communication and critical and large amounts of material.

Cultural part of the study initiates you in subjects like history, social, literary and textual analysis. You will gain an insight into both old and contemporary French literature, involving philosophical and philosophical aspects. Not surprisingly, you'll also into the French Revolution and current affairs as presidential elections and strikes in France.

You will study learning to write and speak French fluently and it is an advantage if you know French before you even start on the study. Much of the teaching takes place namely in French. You will not just learn the rules of grammar, etc., but also how to physically produce the sounds that characterize French. Overall, you will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the French language structure and its use.

It is an advantage to get on the exchange when you read French. This can make, inter alia, France, Canada, Cameroon, Congo, Senegal and Belgium, which speaks French.

The study French occupy only about 25 students per year each place and therefore a small studio where you can quickly learn all the French students to know across vintages. This brings a lot of good about - both socially and professionally. In some places, they have of course a dinner club affiliated studio and a film club, parties, etc.

Teacher, translator, interpreter, journalist or tour guide.

Future options can range from a teacher of French to the employee of an international organization with an emphasis on French conditions. Or consultant in a company seeking knowledge about France as a potential market.

Bachelors and Masters in French is equipped for a career in areas such as teaching, translation, interpretation, export consultancy.
