Anthropology and Ethnography

Anthropology and Ethnography deals with culture and society, and of man as a social and cultural being. This will get the training also looks at how we as people work together, which is one of the great questions in today's world.

The program starts with a learning of the subject's central theories and issues. You will learn to understand human social and cultural conditions through theoretical reflection, and through studies of different social and cultural contexts. You will in this part insight into historical, political, economic, national, religious and social issues. In the studio you will be working with at least two regions that you specialize in, and through this part you will be adept at comparing different cultures.

But you will also have to do fieldwork during training. It consists of living with the people as you study and thus learn to understand their way of life and world view. In practical comprised a team of Anthropology and Ethnography study about 20 students mainly take part in lectures, supplemented by discussion and various kinds of exercises. The studio is very independent since tuition hours only about 8 hours per week. Therefore it is important to actively participate in a reading group.

As proposed in the text are Anthropology and Ethnography a study that not only take place at the desk. In other words, you expect to spend part of your study abroad - eg. among the ethnic minority in Thailand - to study these people.
