You must as a technician in the Navy have a companion letter from one of the following programs. Then you will be trained on within your field, so it can be used aboard Navy ships.

Electrical Engineer

As electronics technician at the Defence you're going to work to maintain the electronic equipment and supplies various protection uses. You will learn to operate, repair, adjust and modify high-tech electronic equipment.

The program begins with a four-month-disciplinary basic schooling in the Navy, which includes subjects such as analog and digital technology, as well as Danish, physics, informatics, business studies etc. When school attendance is completed, you must have a military function training in the technical systems that are there, where you shall serve.

School stay takes place at Holmen in Copenhagen. Then depends on the geography of your choice of protection.

Automation technician

Special admission requirements

Attestation as either a machinist, ship fitter, fine or automation technician, toolmaker, electrician, electronics engineer, electronics technician, data mechanic datafagtekniker, or auto mechanic.

You must be 18 or over when you start the program as automation technician. In addition, you must have taken a basic course at a technical school in 20 weeks and have good grades in all subjects on automatic function and Taskbar: Power, Management and IT.

Additionally, you must be at least 155 cm and to have good eyesight and normal color vision and night vision.
