A language officer in the Army are trained in either Arabic or Pashto to work as an interpreter and cultural advisor for Defence deployed units. You will as a language officer in the Army as a key person in negotiations at all levels, this is often in tense situations where concentration, commitment and common sense are important qualities to possess as a language officer. You must be able to speak and write fluently in Arabic and Pashtu. The training can be attached to both the army, navy and air force. However, it will usually be the army who need language officers.

Education

You start to educate yourself in the basic milli tary skills. This is done through basic and sergeant training. Here you will also learn to commit you in the milli monetary environment and learn milli tary skills like shooting, map reading, etc. Then starts the actual language education at the Defence Academy in Copenhagen, where for 20 months, be prepared to the day yesterday with 8 hours of lessons, 8 hours homework and 8 hours of sleep.

There is stop trying about every 4 months and is taught primarily in the current language, but also in geography, religion, history, economics and politics. Additionally, you have sport four hours oom week. When you finish the 20 months at the Defence Academy Taking a language exam and start at the end the course. The last 4 months you will be retrained to the language / dialect, which is needed in the current situation.

expulsion

You are bound to 6-month international service and 4-month preparatory training within the first 4 years after completion of training.
