Godsbanen in Aarhus is a gathering place for culture, art and much more. Workshops, concerts and events are held here, and if you look in, you will come across Spiselauget on Skovgaardsgade 3.

Spiselauget creates the community around food and gastronomy, and over 100 companies belong here. It is an open gathering place where people can come and eat or just hang out. People can have good conversations over food, and love and karma are at the center. Here you serve good food both to the users of the house and people who come from outside.

It is a special experience to come to Spiselauget. Godsbanen is known for its very raw architecture, so that a contrast is created between Godsbanen's concrete walls and Spiselauget's cozy interior.

At Spiselauget, fresh ingredients are used. Sustainability, ecology and animal welfare are something that is very important. So if you want to eat in a place that has sustainability in focus, you can easily stop by. The food is rustic and unpretentious, and in Spiselauget's kitchen you experiment with local ingredients.

From Monday to Friday, their chef makes a special dish for lunch, which is at a very nice price when you are a student. The rest of the week runs the special dishes. There are e.g. shrimp feast on Monday, taco Tuesday, moules frites on Wednesday and paella for a Friday night.

You agree that the food must of course be in the center, but also that you create a community by sharing the food. At the weekend there is brunch on the menu with pretty much everything you could want. Their bread is homemade, and so are their jams. Otherwise, there are classic brunch sausages, soft-boiled eggs and the most delicious American pancakes with blueberries and syrup.

Because Godsbanen is known for culture and music, music evenings are also held, where you can sit and enjoy a good meal while listening to delicious jazz.

One of the hippest places in Aarhus is Godsbanen and just as hip is Spiselauget. Here you get good food with sustainability and ecology in focus, so you can eat a little extra with a clear conscience.
