Master's degree in Persian lasts two years, and builds on lessons from bachelor. There are two lines to choose from, Linguistic-Literary Society and Professional Line.
Linguistic-Literary Focus on this line is language history and modern Persian. Take classes in the language associated scientific disciplines as phonetics, semantics, morphology. You will also read classical texts in Persian and thereby gain an insight into language history and development.
Social science Line In this line you will learn about the Middle East's history, both ancient and modern, you become acquainted with the regional conflicts that characterize the region, but also of religion's place in society, as well as and the political and economic systems. Prerequisite for both lines is that everything curriculum is in a foreign language - University of Copenhagen recommend that you are familiar with French, German and English before you start studying Persian.
Note also that there are very self-study on the study, which requires a great deal of self-discipline.
With a master's in Persian, open the doors to many different job opportunities. In addition to being an interpreter, teacher, translator or journalist can also be project manager on an archeology dig in Iran or neighboring countries. Or you can work in a museum with art originating in Iran / Persia.
