The study Dentistry is training to become a dentist. As a dentist you come to work with diagnosing and treating all the disorders that can occur in the mouth and jaws. The subjects you will study, among other things human biology, medicinal chemistry, cell biology, oral biology and clinical dentistry. Classes are held in small groups and through a part project, as well as exercises and clinical work with patients.

You are taught how to examine the human mouth for diseases of the teeth and how to treat these diseases. Teaching is both theoretical and practical, so you know how to do, and not only read about it.

It is possible to test what you have read even more, by taking a clinic stay where you get more directly in contact with patients.

Some of the exercises and subjects you learn, you can use the following as a dentist, is biological subjects on foot and jaw and teeth structure. You also get a knowledge society and behavior, psychology plays a big role, as many have dental phobia. It is therefore important to learn how to handle the different patients' feelings in relation to sitting in a dentist chair. And it is important that you learn to address them in the best way, which is also the reason you have art pedagogy.

In addition, you must have some subjects that prepare you for the clinical work, such as surgery and microbiology, and general medicine. In the event that you need to administer nitrous oxide or other anesthetic, it is important that you know the dose ratio for the patient's size and knows how the different anesthetics and are absorbed in the body.

A bachelor's degree in Dentistry does not give competence in Denmark, as broadly all students choose to complete their degree before they are searching for jobs.
