After the 3-year bachelor degree you have the opportunity to take the 2-year Master's program. Now is the time that you develop your individual skills in music therapy treatment. In the first year you are working on with the theory behind Music Therapy and the last year's internship combined with specialty-writing. Actually, the whole nine semesters an internship semester at an institution full time, where you become a regular part of a training course in clinical music therapy. The experience of this internship will then form the framework for the thesis as 10 semester earmarked.

In particular treatment work is focused on the Master's program.

To expand your horizons in the research-based knowledge about music therapy and learn advanced techniques in the world of music. We will train you in your future role as a therapist both in school and in your practice periods.

It is especially dementia, people with mental disorders and brain-damaged children who have special joy of music therapy.

Job Opportunities

You can be employed by the public at the special institutions involved in autism, brain-damaged children or demented to do. You can also become a consultant, self-employed or be employed as another form of music teacher and -terapeut.
