The study Landscape Management gives you the opportunity to influence the way the landscape, environment and nature are developed and placed in a larger societal context. You should, based on political and sustainable conditions design the best way to place natural areas compared to residential and industrial areas.
There are many things to take into consideration and you will put on a challenging task of putting the pieces of a big puzzle that can accommodate many stakeholders from the government and people to business and international organizations.
In the program you follow subjects such as landscape management, administrative law, landscape ecology and many more.
You can take the program with a relevant Bachelor's degree in luggage. It can be either a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or forestry or it can be a Bachelor's degree in agronomy, biology or geography and natural resources. Moreover, you can with a humanistic technology base programs or architect degree from the RUC also go into the studio.
Since many of the students come from many different countries teaching is in English.
The study is also organized as a part-time education.
Job Opportunities
Many have jobs in administrative roles, some in planning the municipality and advisory and consulting positions.
But most find jobs as manager of natural resources and agriculture.
Related student jobs
You can select a student with a focus on management of for example a forestry. It's possible you will not be employed directly in the role, but you will eventually get more responsibility.
