Women's café

In a cozy oasis in the middle of Aarhus there is a museum café with rooms of a very special atmosphere.
Do you remember the trip home to grandmother and grandfather? Love and goodness? You can experience the same feeling at Women's Café at the cathedral.

The cafe is full of grandmother due to the old furniture and, not least, the mild scent of homemade bread. You are guaranteed a satisfying meal at Kvindemuseet Café, which creates a nice setting for a café visit. The food is made from scratch, so you are guaranteed a high quality saturated meal. Since the café is part of a Danish museum, the kitchen is of course also inspired by the Danish. For lunch, for example, you can get an old-fashioned eggmill with prawns, pesto, telish and green on a delicious and fresh homemade bread. You could also get a good deal of today's soup, or a healthy salad served with humus, olives and stone age bread. The cafe is the organic gold mark, which means that the cafe got a gold mark that proves that their food is 90-100% organic.
All in all, the food comes at affordable prices and is worth all the money.

The cafe's furniture is an integral part of the exhibition, so while you are still visiting the café, you could take a look and see the small museum that focuses on gender culture and gender issues, including gender equality, body and sexuality. The museum is one of the world's only women's museums. The purpose of the museum is to create curiosity, dialogue and reflection about the meaning the gender has now, in the past and what role it will have in the future. The museum is thus included in the debate on the gender's cultural history in a broader perspective.

If you need a refreshment before or after a visit to the museum or you are just in town and need a small bite to eat, you can come and enjoy the homemade dishes of the best Danish ingredients of the season from the local suppliers at the Women's Museum café.
