Communication constable in the Navy (Frederikshavn)
The education for Communication constable in the Navy conducted over 19 weeks. During the training you will learn how to operate the ship's radio equipment as well as the software that controls the internal and external communication. The program gives you a civilian radio certificate that you can use in the private sector later in life. As a trained Communications constable in the Navy you come to work on a ship radio station. You will be responsible for setting up the ship's radio equipment and the software that controls communication. It is also your responsibility to receive and transfer a large part of daily communication from the ship - both written and spoken over different networks. At the same time you must attend blink and flag signaling. It all takes place after NATO procedures and since both tactics and communication is in English, it is important that you speak, read and write well in English. You can be deployed to international missions after graduation, however, you will typically be a long time from home due. Sailing around Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
