Italian

Italian is a studio where you combine lessons in language Italian with lyrics about Italian culture, society, politics, literature, films and more. You spend a lot of time to master the Italian in writing and in speech. You get to read all the literature in Italian and watch Italian films of different subject areas.

Italy is the world's eighth-largest economy and has a fascinating history. Here comes big thinkers like Machiavelli, da Vinci and Dante from Italy was also the country where the Renaissance first made its breakthrough. It is not only good things associated with Italy. The country is also home to the notorious Italian mafia and some corruption. The study Italian puts you into Italian language, history and culture and you will develop your skills to analyze, argue and communicate in Italian.

Although you have to learn about Italian culture, history and current social conditions will still need to focus on language construction and development, and be able to speak, write and understand Italian. You learn to relate independent and critical to every conceivable problem that has Italy to do.

You do not have knowledge of Italian before beginning the study, which otherwise is the case with many other language studies. You can take introductory courses, there is a preliminary course which is offset with respect to the study. The course lasts 1 semester.

The study environment is very close and everybody knows everybody. Both teachers and students. Teaching takes place namely in small groups where you occasionally want to hold small presentations to the class. So study Italian is characterized by few but committed participants.

Virtually all of the studio chose to take a period of study in Italy. It is often organized on the first two years of the study, and the trips can take place not common, or individually.

Once you have completed your Bachelor's degree you can choose to read further on the candidate, which you can read both in Copenhagen or Aarhus. You may also want to find an Italian company to work for.


Job Opportunities

You can choose to work in the travel industry, as there are a number of trips that go to Italy. Otherwise, you may be export assistant, cultural communicator and translator for different companies or teach at a high school or night school. Last but not least, you can read on and become a researcher.

Danish A, English B, History B or History of Ideas B or Contemporary History B, Italian A (level can also be achieved by introductory courses in connection with the bachelor program)
