Sport is an exciting study where you have the opportunity to engage in all kinds of sports. Sport is as the name suggests a practical oriented education where you get sweaty and actively included in the teaching. But sport is also a scientific education where biological, humanities and social science elements are present. The biological aspect is the study of human physiology and nutrition in the food we eat. The food we consume affects our body during physical exertion and is very important for our health, so it is important with the right intake especially for athletes who want to perform their best. Over the 3 years as assistant program you must use at least a half years in elective courses outside the Sports studio - it can be at another faculty or through study abroad.
The educational profile can be shaped so you can come to teach in sports and health, both in the public and private sectors. There are good opportunities to put together a personal training and you get to try out project work and courses within fitness, gymnastics, swimming, athletics and various sports, as well as a host of other great sports. So besides that you get the opportunity to play sports on a completely practical plan, then training is also the aspect that you learn about the human body - especially for health, physiology, physical performance and the science behind the sport as a discipline.
A degree in Sports Science puts the body in the center, both from a theoretical perspective, but also practical in a number of sports disciplines. The theoretical disciplines will form a sound basis for the understanding of the body's functions, as well as interaction with physical activity and physiological reactions in the body.
The subjects deals with, among others, biomechanics, history, psychology, anatomy and body culture. The practical disciplines covering among other water activities, ball games, basic training and fitness.
