The technical equipment is one of the most important in the Army today. There can hardly fired a single missile without having been planned through a computer or its coordinates controlled by a GPS.

Hence, the need for IT support that can maintain the technical equipment.

Training of IT Supporter in the Navy assumes that you already have implemented or conducts basic training in technology and communications at the Technical School.

You need to be IT-supporter in the Navy, so composed on the further training of a 4-month basic training, 4 months training in the battle information, or 5 months of training in communication. This is followed by 14 months of internship, where you at one of the Navy's ships, convert your knowledge into practice and work with data systems, networked operations and so on. Finally, there are 3 months of theory before you must take your apprenticeship.

As a complete IT Supporter in the Navy you need to build, configure and maintain Defence PCs, servers and networks. In addition, you advise, instruct and supporte Defence users in hardware and software.

You may be issued after graduation. Usually, however sailings to Greenland and the Faroe Islands that keep you away from home for extended periods.

If you want to stay in the country instead of traveling out once in a while, so you can also use the program in the private sector.
