On the MSc in Geology & Geophysics select a specific geographic subject area and specialize in it. Examples of topics can be research in hydrogeology on movements in groundwater in our territory, and how we can keep it clean and apply it in our water supply. It may also be that your interest lies in working with localization and measurement of oil reservoirs and installation of oil wells as the crude oil can be extracted.
Volcanoes and earthquakes that create new islands and clearing more land. How to prepare a nation to protect themselves from a volcano or a tsunami. Right from mining in Greenland and melting of the ice cap, pollution, infrastructure and sewage systems in Japan.
In fact, so is the potential of Geology & Geophysics large and especially up to the individual students - part of your study hands-on practical work, where you use the world as your internship and playground. You also get the chance to combine your geological background with disciplines such as chemistry, physics, nanotechnology and ecology as your career prospects improved.
Geologists can also participate in excavations of fossils and archaeological sites, where they can determine the time excavations in relation to the strata they are located.
