Geologists are not those who stutters slightly in some stones? No, not completely and not only. Geologists are interested in what is available in the underground of interesting minerals and elements and picks some of the rocks in order to confirm their suspicions. But they are fascinated by the earth's emergence, development and the continued movement of the earth is in.

Geology is the study of the curious and Knowledge covetous person, who interests for soil genesis, composition and constant development. You have to Geology & Geophysics opportunity to study all aspects of the development that planet earth has undergone the last 5 billion years. It is a wondrous story of the dominant ice age and the first human steps to the emergence of the countries and continents as the world consists of today. Geology & Geophysics is also indispensable in the study of human origins story - from Homo Errectus to Homo Sapiens.

You will be working with scientific theories on a high, but understandable level and you will spend much of your study time in nature or experimental laboratory - there is also the opportunity to participate in field trips to various places in Denmark and abroad. The use of computers is an essential part of the teaching and you soon learn to be comfortable with IT modeling and calculation of results. The first 2 years are marked by compulsory training, but in the third year you can choose a number of electives for your own interest.

Also areas such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunamis are a treat for a geologist and will be something of what you can actually get to work with afterwards.

With a bachelor's degree in Geology-Geoscience you can search profiles, involving research, field work, mapping of land areas development projects. Most undergraduates choose to supplement with the Master's program which provides access to more job opportunities for a better salary.
