physics

Physics, which means "nature" in Greek, is a classic study in which you consider physical phenomena and their interactions in space and time. Physics user greatly mathematics as methodology to express and explain the relationships of physical phenomena - and finally reacting the observed information to scientific theories.

Physics is the study of the nature surrounding us on all levels from the smallest particles and atoms to large phenomena as biophysics and quantum mechanics. The study also deals largely with issues that are relevant in the social context or a portion of future trends, such as. nanotechnology.

The MSc in Physics lasts 2 years and is the part of the program where you can really work independently with experiments and scientific research. Specifically, you must firstly select an area to specialize in.

You can choose between particle physics, nuclear physics, solid state physics, physics of complex systems, nuclear physics and quantum information. You have a wide choice among individual subjects, so you can give your program a unique touch.

The training aims to teach you to think like a scientist, so structuring questions and solve them with the right method. So Physics is not only a student but also a kind of lifestyle where you are constantly challenged in your thinking and approach to choose to problem solving.

student Life
Apart from teaching the many social events and offers for you as a student. There are Christmas party every year and during the semester's annual celebration and Spring Festival, as well as some studio tours. So there is always the opportunity to do something fun and socially beside the books.

Job Opportunities

Candidates from the Physics Department has found work in a variety of jobs in public and in private companies. Traditionally, cand.scient.'er recruited in high school. You can also find employment at hospitals, high-tech manufacturing, telecommunications, power plants and chemical plants.

As a recent graduate physicist, you have excellent opportunities to get interesting job. Basically you can read on to secondary school teacher by taking an internship at a secondary school. But as science man and with expertise in research and experiments in the laboratory, you might seek employment in the growing pharmaceutical industry or in biotechnology companies as a product developer or research assistant. A large proportion of students choose also to continue the superstructure with a PhD study in which you specialize a defined area.
