On the design bar allows you to head out into the unknown world where the ideas grow, leading to new and novel design. You are taught by professional designers and entrepreneurs who support you in your own ideas. You get to work with, how ideas and developing them to the finished product. Whether you want to design clothes, costumes, designs, lamps or jewelry, there are a number of basic techniques and skills you need to learn.

It's all about presentation techniques as drawing, fashion drawing, coloring, pattern composition, computer as a creative tool and layout. The development of ideas from general topics that empties into the portfolio or sales folders, is centrally located throughout the course. You learn to follow the thread from the idea phase to the finished product and reach your own personal expression.

Denmark is known for making very well designed craft. Especially within the furniture and interior. Some of the most famous Danes in this segment are: Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner, Verner Panton, Poul Henningsen (PH) and Jørn Utzon.

You will become acquainted with many of their designs as they are very popular and they are repeated in many other contexts.

It is important to keep our proud tradition continues and further generations of designers.

If you choose to take this training, you can create you your own brand and may be one of the most popular designers, like other subsequent look up to and refer to in the future.

At times there will be external guest lecturers, which shows how the designer and thinking patterns.

Special admission requirements

In order to be admitted to Odense Vocational School you must have completed 9 years of schooling or have turned 16 at the start of the course.
