Danish at Askov is training in written and oral Danish especially aimed at foreigners who want to become familiar with the Danish language. The training also focuses on Danish culture and history, as well as insight in Danish politics and society.

The course is for foreign students and other students who do not have Danish as their mother tongue, for example Danes who have lived a long time abroad and grew up without opportunities to learn the language.
Teaching includes Danish grammar and language structure, introduction to Danish literature, organization of Danish society and social life and Danish politics.
The students will be trained to express themselves orally and in writing, in analyzing problems and debate in Danish. The texts are being used is selected to bring insight and understanding of Danish culture and society.
The requirement for admission to our course is that the student is 17 and a half years at the beginning of the course.
Knowledge of English or Danish is a must.
Classes are held in Danish on two different levels to suit the students' abilities.
Life at the school where most students are Danish students, is an ideal environment for acquiring knowledge of the language, culture and the Danes.
The courses will be talking about the history and cultural themes of Danish experts. There will be excursions to various places in Denmark with visits to museums, institutions, factories and historic sites.
