Veterinary Medicine (Veterinary)

Are you one of the many who have always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian when you grew up? If you love having to do with animals and would like to be a vet, so be sure to read Veterinary Medicine. It is the direct training to become certified veterinarian. You learn about the biology of the animals, welfare, anatomy, living conditions and treatment of disease and suffering.

You will be working intensively with the medicines and medical preparations which are used to treat animal's diseases. Education therefore contains important elements of cell biology, biophysics, chemistry, zoology and pharmacology. Beside the scientific disciplines are also in contact with humanistic issues as ethical in animal experiments and animal welfare in our society.

You will learn, among other infection microbiology and food safety, where you learn how parasites, bacteria, etc. influence when animals become sick. The subject of food safety, where you learn about environmental health and toxicology (the study of poisons) that enable you to understand the impact on the organism as foreign bodies, toxins and additives have and how it can be countered. You finish your bachelor degree by writing a separate project, where you deal with a specific problem with the inclusion of theoretical considerations.

In addition to the above subjects will also study the following subjects:

- Veterinary chemistry and biochemistry

- Animal nutrition

- Crew and public health.

It has many different programs embedded in one training without compromising the curriculum.

Once you have completed your bachelor takes most candidate as they are keen to be vets. But if you change your mind during the training, so you have the opportunity to earn credit for many of the other programs available as chemistry, biochemistry, public health and food safety. So you can always use this training as a starting point if you are unsure of which direction you want to go.


Job Opportunities

A bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine does not provide a well-defined job profile and it is strongly recommended that you supplement with a master's degree, so you increase your job prospects considerably and your salary accordingly.
