Room at Trørød Kollegiet by bike distance from DTU
// ENGLISH BELOW // As my current roommate moves out I am in search of a new roommate for my apartment at Trørød College which is located in a bicycle distance from DTU Lyngby campus close to Vedbæk. The room is marked in red on the floor plan, is lovely bright and unfurnished except for a built-in cupboard. My previous room had room for a 1.4m wide bed and a desk, and in the living room there is a wardrobe with a hanger bar and drawers also available. Furthermore, there is direct access to a large ceiling from the apartment for further storage. The apartment has a large common living room with its own kitchen which is fully furnished with sofa and dining table. Outside the living room there is a lovely west facing terrace, with access to a common garden that is shared with the other three houses on the row. Pets are allowed in the college, so if you have a cute pet it is also welcome :) When you live at the college it is possible to sign up on PKS internal waiting list which has short waiting times for dorms that you live in the college you can write up to the internal waiting list for colleges such as Kampsax, Ostenfeld, POP and BergsøeMere information about the college can be found on the website tkol.dk Transport: Bicycle to DTU: 8 km by bike path Bicycle + bus to DTU: 15-25 min, 2 km by bike then bus 150S, 300S or 15E Two buses to DTU: approx. 500 meters walk, then 20-30 minutes in bus Vedbæk station: 2.5 km by bike or 10-15 min by bus, from here trains to Copenhagen and Helsingør Shopping: Netto, SuperBrugsen, Rema1000 and more are 1.5-3 km away A little about me: I am 21, read General Engineering at DTU and must start my 3rd semester. I am a vector (drug supervisor) at DTU, have a student job and always a lot of other things going on, so when I am at home, the time is typically relaxing and reading. I like to cook, so have been used to cooking and eating with my former roomie when we were both at home. I do not have guests so often, but give notice in good time if it is and keeps me within the college's noise limits (calm after 22 on weekdays and after 1 Friday and Saturday). I make sure to have a reasonable cleaning and clean-up standard in the common areas and expect a roomie to help with that. A little extra formal: To stay at the college it is a requirement to be a full-time student. The rent is fixed after the household can still receive housing support, so if you do not qualify for housing support, the rent will be higher. The deposit is payable to me, but since there is no sublease, the lease contract is written directly with PKS (Polytechnical College Company). I dont have guests over that often, and when I do Ill give a heads up before and stick to the dorms noise policy (quiet after 10 PM on weekdays and 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays). I keep a reasonable level of tidiness in the shared spaces and expect a room to participate in that. Extra info: To live at the dormitory you must be a full-time student.The rent is based on the household being eligible for Danish Housing Support, if your not eligible the rent will be higher. The deposit is payed to me; however not subletting the room and you will sign a rental contract with PKS (Polytechnic College Company)
