Tibetologi is the study of Tibetan as the language, as well as the historical and cultural conditions that are linked to the country Tibet. You study the language Tibetan and learn to read, write and speak it. You are reading literary and historical sources simultaneously illuminates the history of Tibet and development. It provides at the same time unique introduction to Tibetan culture and spirituality are an integral part of the Tibetan people's self-understanding - especially as expressed through Tibet's spiritual exiled leader, the Dalai Lama.

You are taught in three main areas to get completely around the subject.
