Ward Faculty of Theology training is for people who want to go deeper into the Bible, acquire theological skills, share the Gospel with others, and want to become a priest, preacher, evangelist, parish assistant or missionary.
The construction of the subjects in the congregation of the Faculty of Theology training is very similar to that of Aarhus University's theology education . The four-year subjects are divided as follows:
Year 1: History of Philosophy, Bible, Greek and Church History
2nd year: Theology History, NT Exegesis, Ethics and Biblical Hebrew, philosophy of religion and Greek
3rd year: Latin, GT exegesis, GT theology, dogma, Hermeneutics, Ethics & Religion Philosophy and Religion same time
4th year: Practical Theology, Dogmatic, Electives and Bachelor project.
The training usually takes place in small classes where there is ample opportunity for dialogue between students and teacher. The program has included both mandatory and voluntary traineeship. You can read more about here . In Menighedsfakultetet where the training taken, there is a great team and the facilities good, giving a good study. The program is not SU approved and therefore it must be funded through scholarships and / or student loans financed by Menighedsfakultetet.
The reason why training takes 4½ years instead of the usual 3½ years is because Menighedsfakultetet has partnered with Unisa (University of South Africa) in South Africa's capital, Pretoria, where you can take the last year and specialize further.
