About Theatre Group 38

The theater Gruppe 38 is a professional theater that has existed since 1972. The theater received in 1980 the status of a regional theater - now little big city theater. Initially, the theater address in a worn rear building in Frederick Street 34 in Aarhus, until we in 1988 took over the old, charming auction room in Mejlgade. Pr. July 1, 2004, we took over the old soap factory in Mejlgade 55 where the National Film Board last had housed. With factory theater has again brought together all its activities under one roof and also has expanded a bit. The premises in the soap factory gives an evocative frame around the theater. In addition to their own performances presents theater group 38 national and international guest performances throughout the year. With the new and larger premises there are several options for the productions and the Committee of performances. The theater group 38 has an extensive touring both in Denmark and abroad.
