The restaurant is founded by Mahmood Ul-Hussain, trained at an Indian restaurant in Yorkshire, England. After his arrival in Denmark he worked as a welder at a cake factory, but a few years after his arrival his dream came true when he opened a small barbecue bar with traditional fast food as well as a small selection of Indian and Pakistani specialties. However, the biggest dream was fulfilled when he opened the Indian restaurant “Indian Mahal”. However, he sold this one and then concentrated on another restaurant, Tandoori Masala. After Mahmood's death in 2012, his soul lives on again in the Tandoori Masala restaurant, where you can have an absolutely fantastic Indian dining experience in Copenhagen.

The restaurant is centrally located close to the main train station, so there is no excuse not to get there. The small fine Indian restaurant is welcoming with a simple decor spiced up with individual Indian objects. Tandoori Masala holds the title of “Great Curry Master”, which means that Tandoori Masala's cooking is of a high standard and that a good service is provided.

Tandoori Masala prepares good old fashioned Indian Pakistani food. They embrace your taste buds with carefully matched spice blends in the many authentic Indian food dishes. On the sumptuous menu, the selection is wide, and if it's hard to choose from the many exciting dishes, try one of the pre-assembled menus to get a little wider around the menu. For example. menu 1 consists of pappadams, chutney, butter chicken, balti lamb, basmatiris, butter naan, raita and salad. There are things that go back in the various menus, but the main dishes will vary from menu to menu. So you can try a lot of different dishes if you order the meal as a menu. If you are not into the menu concept, you can of course also order a la carte.

There is a large selection of exciting Indian dishes including. the well-known Butter Chicken and Chicken Masala. Furthermore, there is also a large selection of balti dishes, a special preparation from northern Pakistan, where the ingredients are roasted at high temperature. The Indian cuisine is generally characterized by intense, spicy and aromatic flavors and is thus an experience you will surely not miss! It's the crunch for your taste buds, so it's just about getting off.
