Persian is the study of the area in ancient times was called Persia and today is best known as Iran. The old Persian empire dating back 500 f.Kr and has a unique culture associated with it. You will learn about historical eras and events in Persia's long history. You learn to speak, read and write Persian and you will be able to read older and contemporary literature in Persian.
Persian at the University of Copenhagen is a small study with few recorded per year, therefore, the supply of courses also limited and part of your teaching is based on tutorials. It means you have greatly responsible for your own learning by finding relevant literature and sources of existing training materials.
You also learn to translate from Danish to Persian and vice versa.
You can use your training to become an interpreter and journalist in the Middle East area. And culminating in a large project, you obviously must complete independently.
With the growing number of people with Persian based in Denmark, but also in the rest of the world, it opens possibilities to be employed by a company that has exported to Iran, ancient Persia.

Special admission requirements
Danish A, English B, History B or History of Ideas B or Contemporary History B. Have you no knowledge of Persian, follow a language course corresponding to a ½ years of teaching and that makes your bachelor program is prescribed to 3½ years.
