Environmental Chemistry and Health is an education where you actively are dealing with the environment and the substances found in nature. You learn how different drugs affect each other and how, for example. pollution can be reduced and prevented. The subjects that you put in your toolbox is primarily chemistry and physics - you can then choose within which item you want to specialize. You can study the soil chemistry, atmospheric chemistry or perhaps aquatic chemistry.
First and foremost, the aim is to learn about how to protect the environment as possible. But there is also the effects of pollution on the environment and what danger signs nature sends, we must be aware of, to react in time, before it is too late.
You trained to work for 3 different areas:
This is one of the municipalities that manages the rules in the area of contamination. This means that you may be the one who stands to authorize the use of certain funds or enforcement in cases where they have been violated.
You will also be trained to act as consultant to draw up plans for how best to remove the contamination happened. As a consultant you work as an intermediary between a municipality and the owner of the contaminated area. It may well be that it is the municipality in both cases.
In addition, you will also be trained to work for production companies, where they develop new products. This is done partly by getting knowledge of how pollution affects the environment and find the cleaning products or methods that can be used under different conditions.
During the training, take the students out into the countryside and visits to collect samples to study and to see what the reality is, so it is not just theory in the books.
