At Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen is the 5 star hotel, Hotel D'Angleterre, where stars such as Prince, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson have stayed. But in the hotel you will also find another star, the restaurant Marchal.  

The restaurant can be proud to be found on the Michelin guide when they got their first Michelin star in 2014. A passion and culinary love underpins the restaurant named after Jean Marchal. He founded the Hotel D'Angleterre with Maria Coppy in 1755, so it's a Michelin-starred restaurant. You will find one of the best restaurants in Denmark at Kongens Nytorv 34 in the heart of Copenhagen.  

You will not get any food at Marchal. Marchal staff strive to give your taste buds an extraordinary gourmet experience that you can tell your envious friends about. The food is also served in fantastic surroundings, namely the restaurant's beautiful premises.  

Whether you visit the restaurant in the spring, summer or autumn, you can venture out onto the terrace overlooking Kongens Nytorv. It is open every day from 1 p.m. 12: 00-23: 30 giving you the opportunity to enjoy a delicious dinner or a good glass of wine.   

The lunch menu includes Gillardeau Oysters, veal tartar and confit quail breast, prepared with fresh ingredients. Or what do you say to grilled steaks of ribeye served with caramelized shallots, truffle vinaigrette and smoked marrow? That doesn't sound too bad either.  

So if you have been shopping with your family on Strøget, the restaurant is a good place to take a pit stop and have a good lunch. Want to treat your boyfriend to a delicious three-course dinner? Then there is ample opportunity for that. Whether you like seafood or poultry and meat, you are guaranteed an excellent meal.   

In addition to a good lunch or dinner, Marchal offers some experiences out of the ordinary. You can enjoy an afternoon tea in the best English. In the Gallery Hall at d'Angleterre, a glass of champagne is served first, with accompanying savory and sweet servings from the Marchal restaurant. For the sweet you get d'Angleterre's very special Krug Afternoon Tea, made for the occasion.  

When the time is high, you can enjoy their hotel bar. The bar is open until midnight and offers delicious drinks inspired by the English, but with a French twist. If you are into champagne, white wine or a cocktail, you get it here.  

If you want to dine in a luxurious place that has received one of Michelinguiden's 35 stars in Denmark, Marchal is the place to go. The price range is in the expensiveend, but it is also for a reason. Here you will not only get good food, but a special experience that you will remember.
