If you intend to study on the MSc in Latin after you have passed the Bachelor's degree, then it is a very natural choice.
Master's degree in Latin 2 years and here you have the opportunity to specialize in one of three directions.
- Classical Latin
- Latin Middelalderfilologi
- New Latin
You should expect about 8 hours of instruction each week. You have to spend some time in preparation for lessons. So there is an essential element of self-study involved.
There are primarily focused on the Latin language from before 600 AD both in literature, culture and language itself. You are going to master the Latin language so you can also learn from you again.
You will even analyze texts in Latin and learning to translate and interpret them.
In addition to language, literature and culture, you will be taught in philosophy, architecture, history, music, religion and society.
With all these different genres of cultural and social sectors, you will be able to do work in museums, archaeological sites, which translates the old Latin books or as a linguist in relation to language formation and development.
Once you have written your thesis, lasting about ½ years and is finished as a candidate, you get the title MA.
