The study in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design teaches you a little popularly said to be the mastermind behind the future of urban planning and development. You will learn how to design city, park, landscape, industrial area, residential or similar. and how it should be designed so there will be taken into account elements such as the environment, population density, aesthetic surroundings, recreational areas, appropriate infrastructure and legal regulations.
At the training you will be taught in urban and landscape planning, both theoretically and practically. You go out and look at the city to understand the different elements to be taken into consideration while getting inspiration on how to solve specific problems.
It is important to take into account the nature and development processes as urban planning can be adapted to this without destroying too much of the wild. This is also taught, while you get a social understanding of nature's role in social development.
There really are many things an urban designer must take into account, and you feel in your own body that it is not a bed of roses. But in return, it is very exciting to learn about all the items and get it all to go up to a higher level. You will get training in urban planning, the design of cities and areas, climate's impact, soil characteristics, environmental impact, economy, politics and a lot of other subjects that are slowly but surely qualifies you for the ambitious business as urban designer.
Part of the course will involve computer programs and advanced IT systems that car assist you in the development of design and architecture. You will not be exempted even plotting maps and plans of your ideas, but it's also the fun of the creative process and hard to be without. There is much project work involved in training and you'll work closely with your study group. The final dissertation must be written in collaboration with a private company, dealing with topics such as urban planning and urban design.
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design gives no clear job profile, therefore chooses the most students to supplement with a kanditgrad.
