Pharmaceutical Science is a graduate program that primarily caters to non-pharmaceutical undergraduates with a bachelor's degree in subjects such as chemistry or biology. You get to work with drugs - including research, testing and development of drugs to patients. The course structure of compulsory and optional courses and concluded with a thesis. There are 3 main lines you can choose from:
- Drug Discovery
- Drug Development
- Products, People and Society
Common to each line is that you get to go in depth with the content and it comes activated to define your professional job profile.
Described below are the three lines you can choose:
Drug Discovery
Drug Discovery is a training line on the MSc in Pharmaceutical Science. It is primarily focused on non-pharmaceutical undergraduates, however, have a chemical or biological bachelor's degree behind him. Drug Discovery is a discipline that teaches you to develop new and innovative drugs for the pharmaceutical industry. You will actively to analyze and synthesize substances and test their effects before they are put into production. In short, the focus is on the program that you are helping to create new pharmaceutical products with the latest technology available. You, we, among others encounter the following subjects: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Organ Related Pharmacology, General Pharmacology and Drug formulation.
Drug Development
Drug Development is a training line on the MSc in Pharmaceutical Science. It is primarily focused on non-pharmaceutical undergraduates, however, have a chemical or biological bachelor's degree behind him. Drug Development is a study where your focus will be to develop, test and produce a pharmaceutical product. It can be anything from a small pill against a local pain to an injection against rash or dizziness. You get to work with all aspects of development of medicine, especially, it is important to minimize side effects and maximize the impact of a given effect. The subjects you encounter range from biochemistry, general chemistry, pharmacology to statistics, IT and industrial drug production and quality assurance.
Drugs, People and Society
"Drugs, People and Society " is a training line on the MSc in Pharmaceutical Science. It is primarily focused on non-pharmaceutical undergraduates, however, have a chemical or biological bachelor's degree behind him. If you choose to study "Medicines and society ", then you're going to work with the administrative on the development of drugs and medical products. Here the emphasis is on documentation of medicinal effect on the subjects and the relevant patient group. You must document the effects and side effects, as society places great demands on licensing of new medicines. A second and important aspect is regarding policy provisions and legal matters. Protection against counterfeit products should be avoided while ensuring that pharmaceutical products meet applicable standards, preferably in as many markets as possible so that sales are maximized. You will after two years of training to be a specialist in the above circumstances and you will certainly find good employment opportunities in the private sector.
Candidates with a background in pharmaceutical sciences often find employment in the pharmaceutical industry, for example. biotechnology or medical device companies. You can therefore look forward to the exciting challenges at work, which is certainly not poorly paid.

Special admission requirements
The admission requirements for the Master's degree is a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 135 ECTS in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.
