What is cultural identity? How does our culture the way we live and act? What problems can arise when cultures clash, and how to solve such problems? Culture and Communication is a course intensely dealing with similar issues by providing a broad introduction to Danish culture and tradition, as well as culture seen in a different optics for example as unsympathetic or new to the Danish culture.

The subjects among others: Theory and analysis, cultural, historical cultural analysis, as well as a cultural project.

The program aims to work with problems and cultural phenomena surrounding communication on television or the Internet. It can be a hype around a special Youtube video Psy Gangnam style, Ylvis' What does the fox say or Harlem Shake.

You learn to analyze the rationale of hype and describe why and how it is possible to create such a huge response to such an event.

You will also be taught various expressions of art and poetry to film and social networks.

Work extensively with project work, lectures and classes in the program. When you complete your education you get the title cand. mag.

You have many job opportunities afterwards, both in advertising or museum industry. As a cultural broker, it is your job to formulate and communicate issues to the people in a way they can understand.
