As a constable you must go through a submitted eating education that teaches you the basic skills that a soldier is expected to possess. That includes shooting, combat training, signal training, guarding, patrol service, access control and physical education. When you are finished with the submitting eating education you need to specialize within the opklaringsbataljoenen. Here you are transferred to the light reconnaissance squadron, where you trained further through internships. As a reconnaissance soldier you join Defence rapid reaction forces. This means that you at short notice can be deployed anywhere in the world. You will furthermore be continuously trained in combat, shooting, tactical use of vehicles, operation of radio equipment, combat swimming, fighting with weapons and obstruction track racing. The program is based much on internships and educates you to become a competent and professional combat soldier.
