The restaurant is located on Æbeløgade 4 in Copenhagen, where you will be led up to a really nice roof terrace. The owners describe the restaurant as a beautiful green oasis in the city, where you have the opportunity to retreat to the noise and stress of the big city for a while.

Gro Spiseri consists of a small team of excellent chefs and staff, where the chefs will be present throughout the evening as they prepare, serve and fit the guests in the cozy greenhouse. The food is served on shared plates so that you can share the food in this way, and thus have this intimate experience. It is their mission to create an eatery that is elevated by the bustle of the city below. They want to create a framework for you to have an informal and social dining experience, which is also based on ecology, with many of the raw materials supplied to them by local producers. This is precisely why the menu changes from season to season, but there will always be a good selection of natural wines, beers and other non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.

It is impossible to know what awaits you at the end of the stairs that winds on the side of a building on Østerbro, which takes you up to Denmark's first roof farm. If you come during the summer season, May to September, you can come for breakfast, where you will be served a really delicious vegetarian and 100% organic breakfast. You can also choose to come for lunch instead, where you will be served a 3-course menu, which is based on products and ingredients from local farmers, fishermen and more. In addition, from March to November you can choose a delicious 6-course menu, or from April to October a delicious vegetarian dish. From November to March it is possible to enjoy a 3-course menu with appetizer, main course and a delicious dessert. Finally, in December and January, you can enjoy a tasteful 7-course winter and Christmas menu. Therefore, you can try something different depending on when the year comes.
