Global Studies is an education where you study within the framework of the concept of globalization. Globalisation as a dynamic concept of great importance to the development of our society and simultaneously also in relation to the rest of the world. To get an authentic understanding of what globalization and its impact, so education focuses Global Studies on three core areas - states, markets and civil society. The program is then built around three themes that illustrate the core areas as a starting point for a broader and more in-depth understanding of globalization and that term perspective. The three themes that are part of the program Global Studies is the following: "Global Politics, Global Governance, Regionalization and State Sovereignty" which is about the interaction between states on a politico, security and ideological level. You learn about the impact of globalization on the relationships that arise between sovereign states and how security and political issues are handled in a global context. In this optics involved international organizations like the EU, NATO, WTO, UN, IMF, etc. And you learn to interpret their significance in relation to each Member State. In the security level is hot topics terrorism as a global challenge that cuts across the states and no more are locally based. "Globalisation, Political Culture, Civil Society and Social Movements" is centered on the concepts of political culture, civil society and social movement seen in a global perspective. In this issue you will learn about how the different structures in society arise and are affected by development and globalization. Structures in a society made up of power relations, regulatory authority, the political system, the national and cultural identity in society as a cohesive force, and how state institutions forms and maintain these relationships. "The Globalisation of Goods, Bads and Welfare" is a theme with a clear economic and mercantile hub. Globalization has had and has great importance for the movement of capital, labor, technology and knowledge between the states. You are going to study the global economy for better or worse, from economic growth and increasing wealth to poverty and inequality. Study Form Global Studies consists of four modules each of which has one semester. In the first 3 modules are focused on the three themes described above. Each of the three themes is an independent studio, so teaching them based not on top of each other. All the teaching and writing assignments you participate in the Global Studies in English. 1 module Is the project where all the three themes to be involved and the subject's own choice. 2 module consists of compulsory courses, which have fertile ground in the 3 themes. Teaching is a combination of lectures and writing assignments. 3 module Is seminars that focus on smaller groups of students where there is strong interaction between the students and the teacher - in contrast to the lectures. 4 module you will learn scientific methodology that is useful in comparison to the thesis, which also settled in this module. student Global Studies is housed in buildings 8, 9, 22, 23, 24, 25 and has a relatively large study involving more than 1,200 students enrolled. There is a large number of international students at Global Studies and you have good opportunities to link social ties across cultures. Global Studies as study also calls for you to take on a stay abroad, either at another university or professional practice. In order to strengthen the social life arranges the students Friday cafe, parties and other fun events to create a counterbalance to the academic content.
