Central Cafe
Amid Aalborg not far from the Church of Our Lady and still within walking distance of the Virgin Ane Gade is Aalborg's oldest tavern, Central Café. The tavern has been there for over 100 years as it is from 1893. It has had a number of different owners over time, for obvious reasons, but the atmosphere and the interior has not changed much since then. So if you love authentic bars and pubs, so you should take your friends forearm and into the Central cafe to once free caromtable. Yes, it is free to play caromtable at Central Cafe and the large draft beer is not expensive. That is probably why there are so many regulars. And perhaps because you are allowed to smoke inside.
Occasionally held include billiards tournament that everyone is welcome to join in. Here you have the chance to win a big cash prize, if you are good at caromtable and if there are many who attend.
In addition there is also live music at Central Café. You can among other things, hear Perlefar as with accordion and ukulele and her raw voice fits into it in the old days would have called a working tavern. Now it is of course open to anyone who likes a little one of thirst, good music and caromtable. There are also arranged competitions and Christmas party, you can sign up.
Student guide recommends that if you are on city tour on weekdays, so it is not the last place you go - unless it is a short city tour you are on when they close 23.45. But it is a great place to warm up to going out. On Friday and Saturday there are open late. 05:00 so you can both start and finish of the Central cafe on the way home from the city.
