applied Mathematics

At the master's program of study Applied Mathematics teaches you to use advanced mathematical tools to solve complex problems in various fields, for example, economics, finance, statistics, industry-specific problems or challenges for research.

Applied Mathematics is also the use of powerful computers to calculate and compute complicated formulas, so you also get an introduction to IT as a valuable tool for solving mathematical problems.

With your understanding of computer science and the methods and theories that come with, you quickly learn to use the computer to create models of complex formulas and analyze them.

That way you build upon the knowledge you have gained in the bachelor.

There is a particular focus on mathematics, statistics and computer science. The mathematical problems develop your skills to analyze problems on a scientific level.

Your future comes with applied mathematics to act much about computer simulations. It is used in robot technology and scientific research in general. Even within some of the humanities as language research are computer simulations that will be useful and relevant.

Many of these simulations are used to develop products and here a slight difference in calculation make a big difference in the end result. It is therefore very important to people who can understand computersimulationen and find the error so it can be fixed.
