Thorvaldsen's Museum exists today due. Bertel Thorvaldsen, who performed almost 550 sculptures, reliefs and busts. He lived for many years in Rome, but wanted his art was accessible to the Danes, and asked the king for help in building a museum. There was launched a national fundraising and udmyntede in Thorvaldsen Museum, where we today can see Thorvaldsen's art (Including sculptures, reliefs and busts), and special exhibitions.
