The International Business Academy


For more than 100 years, Kolding Business School has developed from being a school with 18 students in evening classes to an institution providing daytime and evening classes for around 6000 students. In 2002 merged Kolding Business College in Fredericia-Middelfart College and renamed The International Business College (IBC) - in 2004 merged with IBC Aabenraa Business College and IBC is now a school with 3,400 pupils, students and trainees.

Trade Academy was established in 1982 in Kolding Business School. In 1991 the program expanded with an English direction and in 1992 with a German. Department of tertiary schools was named IBA, The International Business Academy.

In 1992, market economist training at the IBA.

From the summer of 2000 replaced the Academy program, Marketing the three courses Market Economist, International Business and Design Manager.

In 1996 the Bachelor program as an E-learning course. In 2002 followed the Master's program. Both are offered with South Bank University.

In 2006 we started with the MBA offered in conjunction with Coventry University. MBA is partly E-learning and part classroom at the school.

In spring 2008, the two-year full time study Financial Management, and in September 2009 we started the latest training, Bachelor of International Sales and Marketing.

Currently there are about 800 students on IBA. The students come from Denmark and abroad and form the basis for an interesting, attractive and international study.
