New advisory board strengthens engineering

How do we make engineering education more relevant to business? This issue is taken seriously by the Faculty of Engineering, which from 1 January established a panel consisting of business representatives. The so-called Advisory Board will help to develop and secure the future of all faculty engineering.
The new advisory board will strengthen contact and dialogue between the faculty's engineering programs and the community. One of the panel's main tasks is to provide faculty and study management feedback on the students 'skills: Is the students' skills competitive in an increasingly globalized labor market?

The panel has also tasked to critically evaluate the content of education and structural planning, take the senior position for evaluations of programs and contribute to new academic programs at the Faculty. Thus, targeting faculty even more the students' academic skills to match labor market needs.

"Faculty of new advisory board will strengthen our already business-oriented engineering. By also involving industry via this panel, we ensure that our programs are always at the forefront of social development and thus meets the requirement of the latest knowledge and appropriate skills " said education director Henning Andersen.

With members from example Kompan A / S, Ib Andreasen Industri A / S, Danfoss A / S and COWI consists employer panel of professional and experienced business people from engineering oriented companies, all with experience in removable both diploma and civil engineers. Currently the panel of 13 members from different companies.
