Copenhagen Academy of Fashion Design

Copenhagen Academy of Fashion Design is a private design school since its founding in 1983 has won international recognition.

The school's students are trained to clothing designers with a strong technical foundation and an individual visual expression. The school's large network of graduates have pursued careers in the fashion industry, nationally and internationally at all levels.

The students come from all over the world, therefore teach the teachers in both Danish and English. There is a great creative cultural exchange between the teams in an informal and ambitious atmosphere.

There admitted students two times a year, in February and August via rolling record. The program is SU-approved, which means that students can seek support from Denmark and their respective countries.

Purpose
During the two years and unique project-course, you will learn to work innovatively, experiment, get creative and be good at your craft. Through differentiated instruction to develop my independence, but you also are trained to work in a team.

After the study is the student familiar with the principles of the design process and collection building and have acquired professional skills in technical and form point of view. Read more about the course on their website.

Job opportunities
With a degree from the school can be part of the fashion industry on many levels. Many of their former students starts as design assistants, others start their own business right after school. Based on their craft others choose to specialize further within specific disciplines such as; jewelry, print design, leather goods etc.
