At The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts can be trained artist and strengthen your creative soul. Training as an artist takes 6 years, when the first 3 years is organized lessons and the last 3 years is personal designed so that you create your own individual profile.

The Royal. Danish Art School has its origins in 1754, just six years after the Royal Theatre. It was founded and given to Frederik d. 5. birthday present.

From the beginning it was an international educational institution, as among other things, was a French president on the spot. Eventually become a recognized international institution, which now has a research framework under his wing.

There has been much progress since the infancy, and therefore there is now also photography as an art form, but it is still paintings and sculptures that have an emphasis on education instead.

There have been educated many prominent artists from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Below Bertel Thorvaldsen, Vilhelm Hammershøi, Kerstine Roepstorff and Jesper Just.

There are about 200 students in the program, and every year recorded about 30 new.
